Frome Coffee and Tea Concert series have been running since 2003 and are supported by a loyal, open-minded and warm-hearted audience. The welcome shown to performers is a feature regularly commented upon by visiting musicians. Each series consists of four concerts.

Each concert lasts for 60-70 minutes without an interval. In addition there is usually a ‘special’ concert which is full length with an interval. The programme should be varied and accessible but can contain less well known and challenging pieces.

Performers are asked to provide an introduction to each musical item, and this rapport with the audience is an essential ingredient of each concert. Ample time will be provided on the morning of the concert, for rehearsal.

Concerts take place in Rook Lane Chapel, a comfortable, 180 seat auditorium with excellent acoustics.

Frome is well connected by public transport to London and other major cities. It is also easily accessible from the M3, M4 and M5. Performers can be collected from local train stations at Warminster or Westbury. Overnight accommodation (and excellent food) can be provided free of charge by committee members.

If you are interested in applying to perform please send your details, including an audio or video clip where possible, to Clive Ross (
